The project start was celebrated at a ceremony officiated by Mayor Christine Kay, The Roseville Club President John Whitworth and Hyecorp Managing Director Stephen Abolakian, kicking off a significant new chapter for one of the Roseville’s most cherished venues.
Family-owned developer and builder Hyecorp, founded in the mid 1990s, has been working tirelessly in partnership with The Roseville Club to transform the underutilised site. The redevelopment will see the 77 year old building replaced with a new state-of-the-art The Roseville Club with a range of dining, function and event experiences along with the 35 luxury apartments in Juliet Residences positioned above the new Roseville Club, which have been designed by award winning architects PBD. The project received development approval in December 2023 and is being developed and built by Hyecorp.
Apartments include a mix of one-, two-, three and four-bedroom floorplans ranging in size from 54 sqm to 156sqm internally, each with their own balcony or courtyard.
Off-the-plan purchasers will also have the unique opportunity to custom design their apartment through Hyecorp’s Live Your Way with add-ons such as heated flooring, wallpaper, pendant lights, and smart home automation systems.
Roseville Club President Mr John Whitworth said while the road to redeveloping the Club had been long, the result will be a dynamic new premises for members, residents and the greater community.
“Since 1947 The Roseville Club has been the focal point of Ku-ring-gai’s veteran community. In our day-to-day operation we are proud to support the needs of our members as well as community groups, charity fundraisers, sponsorships and commemorative events. Being the only club of its kind on Ku-Ring-gai’s Upper North Shore, the redevelopment will better equip the Club to continue supporting the local community long into the future,” said Mr Whitworth.
The Club connected with Hyecorp at the end of 2016, with the two groups working together on ideas of what the future might look like.
“Thanks to comprehensive community consultation, we now find ourselves with an extraordinary redevelopment. What appealed to us was the ability to stay on the site, fit in with the area, provide services in the area that were in short supply, and at the same time ensure our place in the community of which we’ve been a part since 1947,” he said.
“It’s going to be a great addition to Roseville and something that the whole community can enjoy. It’s going to a tremendous tribute to those who served, those who suffered and those who did not return,” said Mr Whitworth.
Co-Managing Director of Hyecorp Stephen Abolakian said both his company and the Club shared a common goal for members, future residents and the local community.
We have a great partnership with The Roseville Club and our vision is to create a state-of-the-art Club for the suburb of Roseville offering a range of dining, function and event spaces for community members to come together” he said, adding that the addition of the luxury residences at Juliet will allow residents to enjoy amazing amenity just downstairs from their apartment.
“So many Roseville locals will have memories of attending Anzac Day commemorations at The Roseville Club which has been an integral part of the community for a long time, and I’m confident this project will give it a new lease on life and for people to continue to enjoy the club for many years to come.”
“We are proud that this is our second club partnership with Hyecorp also partnering with the Willoughby Legion Ex-Services Club on our Heart of Willoughby precinct in Willoughby which will offer a new Club, retirement living, aged care, retail and 2,000m2 of open space with memorial gardens.”
“Marketing uptake has been well received particularly with downsizers wanting to be close to amenities. Construction will begin this week with completion expected in early 2027.” said Mr Abolakian.
